Just learned via WP forums I should create a child theme for the Twenty Twelve theme before I start tweaking it. I'll do the tweaks in the child theme so the original Twenty Twelve install remains clean in case something bad happens.
Hmm. Yesterday's small victory of learning to remove a page title from the page body is short-lived. I didn't create a child theme. I didn't document my tweak to undo it, though I may have bookmarked the WP forum help page.
So, now I have to go figure out how to create a child-theme.
The menu will remain above the header image for now.
BTW, in my current project (HHP) I'm working on transferring a straight-up HTML website to Wordpress. I do appreciate WP compared to just HTML. I realize how spoiled I was my Typepad's user interface.
