I finished January's 3rd Thursday wrap up blog post for Writer's League in record time. The Wednesday after. Really, that's my goal so it can post on the fourth Thursday.
This month's topic was about writing no matter what. One thing I learned from it was to try different things when writing, figure out what helps me write.
Here are my three things:
1) Tell Editor Lexie I appreciate her skills, etc., and I will be happy to meet with her after my draft is done.
2) Pre-write on paper and keep the paper handy during drafting as a pressure valve to release extra words from my head. (Nice visual.)
3) Let go of my little darlings. (Thanks, Stephen King.) Enjoy them when they appear, but don't always share them.
4) Talk to myself before writing. Remind myself what my goal for the session is.
(Did that on way into Starbucks. Mumbling lady.)
Pic is my vantage point today.
How do you write?
